ARA DAMANSARA, 15 APRIL 2019 – Sime Darby Property Berhad has announced a new appointment in its leadership line up, strengthening its senior management team and positioning the company for future growth.

Ms Betty Lau Sui Hing came on board as Sime Darby Property’s Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) on 1 April 2019. She reports directly to the Group Managing Director, Amrin Awaluddin.

Ms Lau replaces Datuk Tong Poh Keow who retired as GCFO on 31 March 2019.

Dato’ Wan Hashimi AlBakri Wan Ahmad Amin Jaffri, Chief Operating Officer of Sime Darby Property said, “We are pleased to welcome Ms Lau to the Sime Darby Property family. Her wealth of knowledge and experience will definitely strengthen our senior management team considerably.”

Ms Lau will oversee the full spectrum of financial management of the Group, primarily providing strategic financial leadership and support to the senior management and the Board, implementing transformation initiatives across all business segments for better efficiency.

Prior to joining Sime Darby Property, Ms Lau was the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Malaysia Land Sdn Bhd, Hatten Land Limited and IOI Properties Group Bhd.

Ms Lau is a member of the Malaysia Institute of Accountants, Public Accountant, Fellowship of Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and Associate of Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration.
