ARA DAMANSARA, 5 April 2016 – Sime Darby Property continued its award winning streak by being recognised as among the best developers in Malaysia, at the Property Insight Prestigious Development Awards (PIPDA) 2016 ceremony held in Kuala Lumpur recently.

The Property Insight Prestigious Developer Awards 2016 brings together the best minds and people behind the property development industry of Malaysia, celebrating top award-winning developers and recognises their contribution to the country. Sime Darby Property bagged the ‘Top 10 Developers’ award while its Managing Director, Dato’ Ir. Jauhari Hamidi was presented with the ‘Personality of The Year’ award.

Sime Darby Property Managing Director Dato’ Ir. Jauhari Hamidi said, “We are honoured to receive the Top 10 Developers Award. We convey our appreciation to the organisers of PIPDA 2016 and its distinguished panel of judges in bestowing us with the honour. This award motivates us further in continuing our pursuit in maintaining our leadership position in the industry and to remain as a trusted developer of high quality standards.”

Sime Darby Property’s pledge is to fulfill the demands and expectations of its customers by offering the right products and price offerings. This was demonstrated through the success of its Elmina Valley Phase 1 recently, where the developer attained a take-up rate of 95% within one day of its launch despite challenging conditions posed by the property market.

On receiving the ‘Personality of The Year’ award, Dato’ Ir. Jauhari Hamidi commented, “It is an honour for me to receive this recognition. Dato’ Ir. Jauhari Hamidi’s background in property began when he served as the Managing Director and Divisional Director of the Property Development Division of Sime UEP Properties Berhad in 2005. Prior to his appointment as the Managing Director of Sime Darby Property, he served as the Executive Vice President of the Sime Darby Energies and Utilities Division (Non-China) since August 2010.
