To support the world agenda on climate change mitigation and impact reduction. High-performing green buildings or township certification plays a key role in reducing the negative climate impacts of the built environment. Green ratings either local or international allocate high weightage to climate change mitigation strategies such as:
GHG emissions reduction during construction activities e.g., building and infra works.
GHG emissions reduction from building operations energy use directly associated with building operations.
