    • Sime Darby Property's journey in Investment & Asset Management ("IAM") did not begin with a blank slate. When the company demerged from Sime Darby Berhad ("Sime Darby") in 2017, it inherited a diverse portfolio of legacy assets, many of which were developed or acquired during the decades-long evolution of Sime Darby as one of Malaysia's most influential conglomerates.
    • The introduction of the SHIFT25 transformation journey marked a pivotal turning point for Sime Darby Property. It provided the vision and framework necessary to consolidate, reposition, and optimise these legacy assets into a focused platform for recurring income and asset value creation. This strategic shift led to the formal establishment and rapid expansion of IAM – transforming once passive holdings into a deliberate, future-forward portfolio engine.
    • Today, SDP's IAM is represented by SDP Capital Partners, operating a scalable and strategic platform encompassing investments, fund management, asset operations, and sustainability initiatives. It is not merely a segment of our business; it is a dynamic engine delivering strong profit growth, significantly increasing assets under management ("AUM"), and positioning Sime Darby Property as a true value multiplier, deeply committed to long-term value creation for all stakeholders.   • Leadership

    Dato’ Seri Azmir Merican, Group Managing Director & CEO of Sime Darby Property, holds a Business Administration (Finance) degree from Western Michigan University. With 30 years of corporate experience, including senior roles at Maybank, PwC, CIMB, AWC Berhad, and UEM Group, he has led major restructurings, mergers, and growth initiatives across multiple sectors. Since 2020, he has driven Sime Darby Property’s transformation into a leading real estate and investment-focused business. Recognized as Outstanding Property CEO (2023), he steered the company to become Malaysia’s No. 1 property developer in 2024.

    Dato’ Seri Azmir Merican

    Ms. Betty Lau has been Group CFO of Sime Darby Property since 2019, after joining as CFO Designate in 2018. With over 25 years’ experience, she previously served as CFO of Malaysia Land Group, Hatten Land, and IOI Properties, and held senior finance roles in Malaysia, Singapore, the US, and China. An accountant by profession, she brings expertise in restructuring, treasury, reporting, and taxation across diverse industries. At Sime Darby Property, she leads financial management and drives Transformation 2.0 initiatives. She is a member of MIA, a Fellow of ACCA, and an Associate of ICSA.

    Ms. Betty Lau Sui Hing

    Ms. Aurelia Lee was appointed Chief Operating Officer, Investment & Asset Management on 15 February 2023. She brings around 15 years of industry experience, including 4 years in investment banking, over 6 years in investment/private equity at Khazanah Nasional, and 4 years with UEM Edgenta and Sime Darby Property overseeing strategy, planning, corporate finance, and investor relations. Aurelia holds a Master of Finance from RMIT University and a Bachelor’s in Biotechnology from Monash University.
